Betting Tips On Group A of The UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifying Matches on October 13
There are exactly 4 matchdays left in the UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifiers. Two will be played on October, and another two for November. After that, the top two countries with the most points in their respective groups will move on to play in the Final Round of UEFA Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, who are sharing their stadium resources for the big UEFA Euro 2008 Finals tournament on June 2008.
But first, a quick review of the fixtures for Octoer 13.
For Group A of the Euro 2008 Qualifiers, we have Armenia vs. Serbia, Poland vs. Kazakhstan, Belgium vs. Finland and Azerbaijan vs. Portugal.
Poland lead Group A with 21 points while Finland are at 2nd place with 19 points. Portugal has 17 points, and Serbia has 16 points, and are still within striking distance of being among the top two qualifers for Group A. However, Poland will be looking to improve by another 3 points as the home pitch advantage for Poland will make things difficult for Kazakhstan. Of course, add to that the fact that Polish football stars Radoslaw Matusiak, Jacek Kzrynowek and Euzebiusz Smolarek are going to be on their A-game.
Portugal look to also post a win when they visit Azerbaijan, who are at the bottom of Group A. Portugal will be looking to its star players like Barcelona’s Deco, Chelsea’s Ricardo Carvalho and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani, to provide the win.
Finland will have a more difficult task of trying to get by Beligum at Belgium’s home pitch, but Finland has beaten Belgium 2-0 in their previous match, and Finland look to have the confidence to do it again in Belgium with the likes of Finnish stars Sami Hyypia of Chelsea and Mikael Forssel of Birmingham City.
Serbia, who travel to Armenia, are also banking on the confidence they had when they defeated Armenia 3-0 when Serbia hosted Armenia back in November 2006. Unfortunately, Serbia will not have the services of Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, who is not yet fully-recovered from his injury.
