Soccer Betting Preview: Chelsea Keeps Title Hopes Alive

With the win they drew even with Manchester United in the standings although Man U holds the goal difference advantage. Chelsea will now need to win their final game at home against Bolton and hope that United either loses or ties at Wigan.

Chelsea didn’t score the first goal of the game against Newcastle until the 61st minute as a foul was called on Newcastle’s Abdoulaye Faye. Didier Drogba was able to put the ball into position for Michael Ballack who put a header past Steve Harper. The Blues scored their second goal as Florent Malouda took a pass from Frank Lampard and scored in the 81st minute.

English Premier League Betting: Arsenal Lead Premiership After 3-1 Victory Over Manchester City

Arsenal and Manchester United have been tied at the top of the English Premier League standings in points for the past few weeks. Actually, despite the tie in the points, Manchester United was technically the leader with a better goal difference record than Arsenal. However, after the latest round of Englsih Premier League matches, Arsenal steer clear from Manchester United with 60 points to Manchester United’s 58 points.

Arsenal were successful in their home match at the Emirates Stadium against Manchester City, winning with an impressive score line fo 3-1. Meanwhile, Manchester United only managed a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane, and thus relinquishing the top spot of the English Premiership to Arsenal.

Arsenal’s victory over Manchester United is credited to the 2 goals scored by striker Emmanuel Adebayor and another goal from Eduardo da Silva. Gelson Fernandes scored the lone goal for Manchester City.

English Premier League Betting: Arsenal & Manchester United Still On Top of The Premiership

Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester UnitedDefending Premier League champions Manchester United and Arsenal FC are still tied at the top of the English Premier League after booking wins in the last set of fixtures in the English Premiership. Both teams are tied at the top spot with 54 points each.

Manchester United book a 2-0 win against Reading with goals coming from Man-U’s star players Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney opened the scoring 13 minutes into the game when team mate Carlos Tevez passed a through ball which Rooney gave a one-time strike to beat Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann. Manchester United’s star midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo added a second goal to put the game away for good.

Arsenal had an awesome result against Fulham with a 3-0 win at Craven Cottage. Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor scored two headers while Tomas Rosicky added the third in what was a remarkable display of football.

England Beats Estonia 3-0 in UEFA Euro 2008

The England national football team cruised to an easy 3-0 victory against Estonia to the delight of a full-capactiy crowd in the New Wembley Stadium in London, England.

In the 11th minute, England midfielder Shaun-Wright Phillips put England 1-0 up against Estonia when he drilled a shot between the legs of Estonia’s keeper Mart Poom. In the 32nd minute, England striker Wayne Rooney of English Premier League champions Manchester United made it 2-0, grabbing his first international goal in eleven months. One minute after that, Ashley Cole sent in a deep cross that was headed by Estonia defender Taavi Rahn into his own net. Rahn’s own goal gave the English home side a 3-0 advantage, which they maintained throughout the match.
